Ford F-350
2017
Ford F-350 2017 extended cab Trim Shown: 2017 XLT extended cab 4WD Automatic

The F-350 is a heavy-duty truck with a 1-ton capacity as opposed to the 1/2 ton of the F-150. The Super Duty line was redesigned for 2015 with new exterior and revised engines. The ride is stiff and bouncy, especially compared to the F-150. Ford's 6.0-liter turbodiesel packs some real punch and is fairly quiet and free of vibration. Stepping into the cabin is more difficult because of the high floor.

Ford F-350 2016 Trim Shown: 2016 Crew Cab Platinum

The F-350 Super Duty is a heavy-duty truck for towing or hauling heavy loads. The ride is stiffer and snappier than in the F-150, but slightly better than some of its competitors. Engines include a diesel V8, a gas V8, and in earlier years a gas V10. Stepping into the cabin is difficult because of the high floor. Integrated into the tailgate is an optional folding stepladder, which is a nice touch. Other conveniences include built-in wiring for accessories and built-in controls for proportional braking when towing a trailer. Handling is very clumsy even for a heavy-duty truck.
