In February 1936, a dedicated band of professors, labor leaders, journalists, and engineers founded Consumers Union. Explore
some of the highlights of our history in our interactive timeline and go from Consumers Union's origins to the present day.
Consumer Reports has been providing expert recommendations, buying advice, and Ratings of consumer products tested in our
world famous labs for the last 75 years. Consumers Union is an expert, independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is
to work for a fair, just, and safe marketplace and has been doing so for 75 years. To commemorate Consumer Reports' 75th anniversary,
we would like to share our history with you, vintage photographs, videos of how we test, and ways in which you can stay connected
to Consumer Reports. We would also like hear personal stories from subscribers like you on the ways we've made a difference
in your life to help us shape our testing, reporting, and efforts for the next 75 years.
