Milca Esdaille
Senior Director, External Relations
Milca Esdaille is the Senior Director of External Relations for Consumers Union (CU), an expert, independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to work for a fair, just and safe marketplace for consumers. CU publishes Consumer Reports and ConsumerReports.org.
Ms. Esdaille acts as liaison between CU leaders and key constituencies outside of the organization. She collaborates with CU seniors and experts to cultivate strategic relationships with opinion leaders in government, business, media, academia, and not-for-profit organizations in ways that directly advance the interest of consumers. Ms. Esdaille also serves as a 'CU Ambassador,' representing the organization at key events and conferences.
Ms. Esdaille joined CU in September 2004 as Director of Human Resources, and was promoted to her current position in July 2007. In this prior role she successfully led a talented team of professionals in bringing new technology, new programs and new energy to CU's Human Resources function.
Prior to joining CU, Ms. Esdaille accumulated an impressive and diverse work history. In addition to many years as a Human Resources professional, she has also worked in finance and is a published freelance writer. Ms. Esdaille spent fourteen years at Citigroup in various positions.
Ms. Esdaille received her BS from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor and Relations and an MBA from Columbia University.
