Comment:
My old Kenmore quit after 10+ years. I replaced with the 5200 btu Kenmore. It cooled great but had a very irritating noise. Replaced with the 6000 btu Hairer from Walmart, it was defective. Had to pay for parking to return broken unit, won't shop there again. Got this Frigidaire, the best of the lot.It dropped temperature 5 degrees in 20 min. It was the easiest to install although none were really that hard . Seems to be pretty well made. None of these new units were as good as my old Kenmore for cooling, eliminating humidity and quiet operation.

Comment:
I am returning two of these units to Lowes because they both make a very irritating noise -- like a rattle. Both were difficult to install, but I had two guys to do the installations. Both also produced a lot of cool air very quickly and having remotes is terrific. But I could not stand the noise, which would wake me up at night.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
