Comment:
The A/C unit works well. The biggest complaint is noise, followed by difficulty seeing buttons at night. The unit is difficult to shut off in the dark with out knobs, because it is all digital.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
It's only 68 pounds, but final installation's a 2-person job -- one to position the unit, the other to close the window. However, that's not a negative if (like me) your only option is a window unit without a slide-in casing. Surprisingly great at cooling -- the 12,000 BTUs have cooled the Loft and main living/dining/kitchen area downstairs (and we have one wall that's all glass windows). Of course, to get that kind of cooling, it means pushing the unit to its max (60 degrees, fan on high). Just bought it, so hope it survives the workload we've given it.
