I've run this 24 hours straight almost every day for 3+ years. The machine has gotten slightly louder but it performs just as well as when I got it. When this thing dies I'm going to buy another.

I bought this based on the Consumer Reports ratings. Found it through [...]. It was great. I used it in my bedroom to help sleeping due to my allergies. I really liked that you could just vacuum the filter off. It had a pretty handy usage timer to let you know when it was time to check things. Unfortunately at around a year of usage (only used every night) the fan bearing or something started going out. It was no longer quiet on low setting. I dealt with that for a while until I started getting an electrical burning smell. I immediately stopped usage of this at that point and returned it to [...] I am not sure if I would get this again or not. For the price, it is a great deal and does work well. I just don't want it to quit on me after maybe a year. And I especially do not want to have an alectrical problem with it.
