Bought from a local major retail store to replace another brand of large dehumidifier with floor drain hose for out walkout basement (ranch house) in SW Mich, based on CR review. Could not confirm hose drain on box so opened one at the store and noticed a visible defect on the fan in the one in the box, but confirmed hose attachment. Decided to purchase another unopened unit, took home, no instructions and had very loud fan noise. Given the above, hesitantly exchanged for one more try, this time had unclear instructions and quiet fan, but the properly attached drain hose only dribbled so the bucket fills up turning off the unit. Flushed and rechecked hose, no difference. After about 15 minutes hold time, confirmed defective unit with the company support line. Will return and try another brand. Don't know the reliability of other haier products but our first exposure to this brand was very disappointing. I guess it could have been a bad lot, but I question workmanship based on my experience.
