Cons

Small Area Or Room
Comment:
Quiet and unobtrusive. Doesn't leave area wet around the output spout. Cleaning is easy, but you must stay on top of it to prevent pink stain mold overgrowth.

Comment:
I chose this model after thorough research. Excellent price and performance; very quiet and easy to handle. The first month of use we wondered why the water had rust residues. The second month, the spring that controls the water that produces the wonderful cool mist started to disintegrate and by the third month it was gone. How could a wonderful product have such a cheap part? I had to take it back. I wonder why no one has mentioned this.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Small room
Comment:
While output can vary depending on room conditions, I found the output is much less than advertised: 2.3 gal/day on box, CR --1.98 gal/day. I measured approximately 0.75 gal/day. Overnight, my unit would provide about a quart of water, which was insufficient for our 225 sq. ft. bedroom. We awoke with dry mouths and noses. It also appears that some of the moisture ends up on the floor rather than the air, which may be caused by the room temperature. We keep our bedroom below 58 F at night.
