Comment:
Had two through three winters. No malfunctions yet. Use on upper level of home about 1,200sq. ft. in northern Minnesota. Use softened well water and have gas forced air heat. Use them on low to try to keep humidity on upper level in the 24 to 28% range. Replacement filters are not hard to find. In 3 years have not been able to buy replacement UV bulbs through Kaz or Honeywell or get detailed enough specs from them to be sure what generic brand UV bulb might work. How can a manufacturer sell a product and not have replacement parts available? The product is OK, but no UV bulb availability makes it impossible to recommend this product.

Comment:
I purchased two of these for my small 1000 sq ft condo. The furnace I have is very strong and blows very dry air and it inhibits sleep and breathing quality. I read great reviews of this online but am not finding it so stellar. Firstly, it doesn't have any humidity settings or levels. It only has fan speed levels. The two humidifiers I bought struggle to get above 37 degrees humidity. I have a handheld humidistat. If I want it to go more toward 45-50 there's no way I can do that. I really dislike this feature and I would not have bought this if I knew it didn't have basic degree settings that every humidifier should come standard with. Also, it has a very small one gallon tank that needs to be refilled at least twice a day. Where it says 2.3 gallon output per 24 hours - don't let that fool you. What it means is if you refill the tank once per 12 hours, you'll get 2.3 gallons per 24 hours (one day). The humidifier is very quiet and it so far is very clean. Mine does not leak from the bottom and it's super easy to put together. Just MAKE SURE you soak the filter before turning the unit on otherwise it won't pull the moisture through. I would not buy these units again and would opt from something that can have humidity levels set.

Comment:
This is the easiest, cleanest humidifier I have had (out of 3). I have never seen bacteria growing on it. It is simple to fill also.
