Good spot heater - so toasty I had to move it further away from my chair! If you use the remote and set the temperature at a given number, once the temperature goes above that it turns off and if the room gets warmer than the set temperature, the Bionaire BCH9212 turns on as a fan, which can be annoying. For best heat output, it is best not to use that function and keep it set at the maximum heat setting. The area in front of the ceramic elements gets too hot to touch; otherwise very safe, quiet, and fully featured ceramic tower heater and fan.

Comment:
The unit shot a flame and then a puff of smoke. Thankfully it went out on it's own. After reading more carefully on Amazon I see others have the same issue.

I used this to heat my bedroom and bathroom. Worked better in bathroom b/c of low heat output. One day it began blowing room air only. I followed manufacturer's directions to reset without success. Too much time and expense to return. This is the first review I have every written - I am sadly disappointed in both Bonaire and CR. I've been a loyal subscriber to CR since 1974.
