I will not replace this again. This is my second DeLonghi Oil filled space heater (radiator). The controls went out each time rendering the unit useless. Last nigh the bedroom was way too hot, I woke up and discovered the 67 degree temp setting had failed. pushed the on-off switch it broke in the ON position, had to unplug it. It is now out for trash pickup. Lasted about 5 years.

We have owned a previous version of this unit for several years and it keeps on working. Alomsot every other space heater I have owned has failed within 3 years, so this one gets top marks for reliability.<br />Yes, the exterior of ours gets too hot to touch but I think the newer models have some sort of shielding to minimize the risk of contact with a hot surface.<br />The unit does make a little bit of noise as the oil heats and circulates, not a constant noise and certainly not bothersome. The newer units may make less noise but I do not consider the noise obnoxious nor intrusive. For more heat distribution, place the unit near a forced air outlet (air vent) on the floor so the central heat fan will blow over it whenever it kicks on.

I've owned one of these before and used it in my bedroom for at least 10 years. It kept my very large bedroom warm. Recently I moved and left that heater behind so I had to buy a new one. I've had the new one for a couple of months and it seems to be working just fine. As everyone has mentioned, it takes a while to heat the room up, but, once warm, it keeps the room warm. The heater is very quiet. I keep it on virtually 24/7. The reason I bought this kind of radiator-looking heater is because I like to throw my clothes over the top for a few moments to heat them up before putting them on. For my needs, I consider this an excellent space heater.

Strength
- Puts out a good amount of heat even at low settings.- Programmable- Stable even on carpeting
Weakness
- Need to play with the settings a bit to figure what works best for you. But once you set it you can forget it. Just enjoy the warmth.- Initial odor from unit but goes away after one night.
Simple to set-up and operate. Great for small to medium sized bedrooms. We're using it in a 166 sq. ft. bedroom. Analog type programming not as sophisticated as a digital one but effective and less money.

We bought this Delonghi oil heater for use in California winter and it works great, saving us a lot of money from gas bill. The 24-hour timer is a great function and we could turn on the heater before sleep and turn it off at 5AM. The built quality is pretty good and it runs quiet.

We bought this heater from a online store after reading other people's opinion. The actual product looks smaller than the one shown on the picture, which may be due to a photograph artifact. Since it has small size, it is very portable. You don't need to buy several and put one of each in different rooms. You can take it where every you go. This Delonghi heater heat up very fast.It works flawlessly in small rooms in our test. But it may not be powerful enough for a bigger room. It comes with great features such as auto shut off, which can help saving electricity. I would like to recommend this DeLonghi TRD0715T heater.
