I bought this heater 2 years ago and it's still doing a great job. It heats just as well <br />now as it did when I bought it. <br /><br />The wheels were VERY cheap and broke within the first 2 months, but I have it on pergo so I just put felt pads on the bottom of it. The thermostat controls <br />work very well, and it does a good job where I keep it in my office. <br /><br />A unit with a fan would probably spread more heat, but would be louder.

I wanted to reduce my energy bills and felt if I lowered my thermostat and heated just the room I was in to a comfortable level I could save. I researched heaters and gave this one a try. I was impressed with how well it heated and that it was silent--I can't tolerate noisy equipment in the background. Other than when it turns on or off, you don't know it's around. It doesn't take much space, is easy to pick up and move around and turns itself off when it reaches the set temperature. All at a great price. I've had no safety problems as I've had with older model heaters and my electric bill only went up slightly. It has saved me hundreds in heating oil bills. I bought a second heater so I wouldn't need to move the first one around. The only Con is that the original which is a few years old now, has stopped working. I wish it hadn't but, I saved well beyond the small amount I paid for the heater.

The first season that we used this it was fine for my sons room. It seemed loud though and clunked alot though. Now a few weeks into the second season it is shutting down the surrge protector it is plugged into after only being on for a couple minutes.
