Right off...the previous reviewer was correct. There's no Vacation Hold on the model CR reviewed. But the Honeywell RTH6580WF (available at Large Box hardware stores) does offer that feature.

Best Uses
I bought two 7500D's for my house, but I wish I had read the specifications better. Installation and setup went fine, and the devices work, but they are missing a few key features. They don't have a vacation hold feature, so no pre-heating or cooling the house before you get back from a trip. And the temperature span, which controls how closely the thermostat tries to keep to the set-point, cannot be adjusted. If I were buying again, I would probably get something like the Hunter 44377 instead.
How long have you owned it:
A month or less
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
