Love the Shrimp Soup recipe! I wouldn't typically think to use a blender to make soup, but this blender is an amazing soup maker.
On a hot summer night - a blueberry or strawberry smoothie is ready in no time at all.
Youtube has some great blendtec recipes to try. The more recipes you try the more you will use it. I describe this to friends as a Turbo Blender as it is so powerful.
Lastly, it seems so well made, it appears that it will be around for years and years.

Comment:
This beats all of them. Try doing kale, or pineapple, or even seeds. Other blenders use blades (like our Ninja) which try to cut, but aerodynamically seeds, or strands in oranges or pineapple go around the blades. Also, with most other blenders, they stick to the sides.

The Blendtec has thick (1cm?) arms which pulverize everything beautifully. The 'programs' use it variably automatically and it grabs everything that would stick to the sides. Also... one drop of soap with water - the thing cleans itself (saves ~10 mins and accidental blade touching).

I recommended it to a friend who got one - returned it in 1 week because of the high price. He then saw his old blender miss pulp and he spent ~10 minutes cleaning it (daily smoothies). After a few days, he went back and got a Blendtec again - now brags about it.
