Comment:
I have had many blenders over the years, including the presently top rated Ninja. There is no comparison. I have a smoothie every morning and the comparison of the job the Vitamix does on this task to all other non commercial blenders isn't even close. I waited a long time to purchase due to price, but now that I have wish I would have done it sooner. If your an avid user of your blender, I would highly recommend.

Comment:
Great powerful blender but...has anyone considered the size and weight of this thing? It won't fit under many people's cabinets above the typical countertop and it is pretty heavy for many people to be lifting up and down each day to put away after each use. Really, this thing looks like something that was built in the '60s with the same old engineering practices. Look around, there are just as good of options with just as much power that will actually fit on your countertop and be easy to move around. Harley, Honda : Vitamix, Blendtec....just sayin'

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Used to make fresh fruit & veg drinks. I like its simple controls: an on/off switch, a variable control dial and a switch for full blast/variable.

For me, a blender doesn't need any timed functions, such as the Blendtec that I returned to Costco after a three month trial. No need for an LED panel which the Blendtec has. The B-tec's computer just slowed down the process by a few seconds. I didn't need a count of how many cycles the blender went through. The motor of the V-mix is also noticeably quieter and a bit heavier than that of the B-tec. The Btec noise level often ran me out of the kitchen.

I also appreciated that the Vmix 5200 didn't come with extra jars, which I struggle to find a place for in my pantry/kitchen. Sure, sometimes I need to use the tamper rod, but I couldn't count on the Blendtec always pulling down everything from the top of the jar.

I hope you'll find it as friendly as I did.
