The Bella Dots Collection 12-cup is part of the coffeemaker
test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, drip coffeemaker
models like the Dots Collection 12-cup are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.
The ability to reach 195° to 205° F for five or six minutes, the industry standard for optimal brewing.
Reflects ease of filling the reservoir, placing the filter, gauging the amount of coffee remaining, and cleaning up. It also reflects how clear we judged the controls.
Covers handle comfort, tendency to drip while pouring, balance of a full carafe, and how easy it was to empty the last liquid. Models with no score here brew into single-serve cups or are brew-and-dispense models. The latter hold the coffee in a tank; you fill your cup by pressing it against the dispenser lever.

I bought this coffee maker when I bought my house. It stopped working after exactly 2 months. The light comes on, no coffee comes out. I'd like to throw hot coffee at the people who made this useless pot, but they'd get only coffee grounds and some cold water.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheap and Colorful
Permanent filter included
I've had the Bella for over a year and it makes good coffee. I used it for my morning coffee daily and for the household on weekends. I also like how hot the water comes out as I use it to heat water for hot tea. The permanent filter is a bonus. Downside is there's no timer and it's hard to see the on light from afar.

I did have a hickup where it stopped working but I just turned it off, emptied all the water from the reservoir, waited and then refilled it and tried again and it resumed working since.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
