I purchased this coffee maker as a replacement a Braun coffee maker that flawlessly served me for 22 years. I am very discriminating about coffee and sought a coffee maker that at least equaled my prior experience with Braun and exceed it if possible. After reviewing several high end products on the market, consulting consumer reports, and talking with an expert at the retailer; I purchased the CM200. Some of my favorite features of the CM200 are: water filter, removable water tank, removable gold tone filter, programmable. I have one minor con; the exterior of the coffee basket does not detach from the unit for cleaning.<br />All in all I am very happy with this coffee maker and recommend it.

I grind my own beans in a grinder then transfer to the coffee pot. I make my coffee at night and set the timer to wake in the morning to a fresh made pot of wonderful coffee. I have had other brands with the built in grinder but because my coffee is so rich, it clogged up the grinder.
