I'm done with Cuisinart
Brews good tasting coffee
Carafe Dribbles Coffee
Long Brew Time
Poor construction
Small Hole Opening To Fill
Best Uses
The first one I bought, the flip up top would not stay closed. They replaced it for free but it cost $35 to ship the old one back. The second one lasted several months but in one day the top started not staying closed AND the program button came out. All I had done was slide out the machine from under the cabinets. Cuisinart brews good coffee but this experience with poor construction is consistent with the several previous Cuisinart coffeemakers I have owned. One other problem is you cannot pour water into the machine or coffee into a cup without it dribbling all over the place. This has been the case with all Cuisinart carafe's I have owned. CR should use the machines for a longer period of time to see if they hold up--especially their top rated models. I AM DONE with Cuisinart.

Total Junk!
Large Pot
Best Uses
The unit we purchased has been replaced Three times in 11 months by Cuisinart. They have leaked and stopped brewing with the reservoir more than half full each time. Cuisinart will charge you $10.00 to send you a new replacement coffee maker under the guise of shipping charges. You are expected to return the damaged coffee maker and your expense to them. That charge when I took it to the USPS was almost $36.00 each time. Save yourself the aggravation and buy another coffee maker. Our last 12 pot Cuisinart coffee maker that we bought this model to replace it lasted 12 years. This product is not made in the USA.

Poor Quality/PoorCustomer Service
Best Uses
This product makes decent enough coffee, but, for the price point it is poorly and cheaply constructed. As other reviwers have noted, the springs on the pop-up lid broke early on, making opening the water reservoir a challenge. Simply pressing the on button once a day has caused the print on the facing to rub off -- a cosmetic issue, not a functional one. Most irritating has been the poor quality of Cuisinart (Conair Corp.) customer service. Multiple requests for a replacement lid for the carafe resulted in their sending three lids none of which fit. When a supervisor finally contacted me,she informed me that my only recourse was to purchase a new carafe -- not an acceptable answer for a simple lid replacement.

CR's ratings should be updated to reflect customer dissatisfaction with this product and its manufacturer's poor reputation for customer service.
