About - Emerson CCM901

The Emerson CCM901 is part of the coffeemaker test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, drip coffeemaker models like the CCM901 are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Brew performance:
The ability to reach 195° to 205° F for five or six minutes, the industry standard for optimal brewing.

Convenience:
Reflects ease of filling the reservoir, placing the filter, gauging the amount of coffee remaining, and cleaning up. It also reflects how clear we judged the controls.

Carafe handling:
Covers handle comfort, tendency to drip while pouring, balance of a full carafe, and how easy it was to empty the last liquid. Models with no score here brew into single-serve cups or are brew-and-dispense models. The latter hold the coffee in a tank; you fill your cup by pressing it against the dispenser lever.

I have owned this item for close to 3 months, the pump click button does not work well. Sticks and will not release. I end up just turning the thing off via the primary power on switch and pushing the pump button until it finally releases. BAD BAD quality, for the price being charged for this item keep your $$ and look for a better item. Stay away from Delonghi good item but bad quality I have owned 3 stops working or just breaks inside.
How long have you owned it:
One-to-three months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was so excited to get this combo coffee maker from my husband. The Streamer only worked about three times & within about two months the pot broke, thin glass.(pot also leaks when you pour)I use the esspresso machine side more often, so kept it W/O a coffee pot. After approx 18 months the esspresso part started steaming all over the place each time I tried to make a shot of coffee. I cleaned the parts religously, including the upper part, EVERY TIME! Now the extended warranty wont even cover repairs! Booooo
