Comment:
I love my little coffee maker! So much, in fact, that I am looking for a new one. After a hear and a half of steady use, it died, but after having such great coffee, every morning, I am searching to replace it. I use only bottled water and Dunkin Donuts whole bean coffee. I find if I have finely grown coffee, there is a sediment at the bottom of my cup that isn't filtered out; totally my fault. Overall, very happy with my Scoop coffee maker.

Comment:
I use this coffee maker mostly for an afternoon cup pick-me-up, or a warmer on a cold day. I have a Bunn for my daily morning coffee, which makes the best coffee ever, but the least one can make is 2 cups. For the price the Hamilton Beach is great for a single cup coffee maker because it doesn't require expensive cups or pods and the coffee can be made to order. It also doesn't take up much counter space which I was concerned about with other instant cup makers. I wouldn't recommend this for someone as a family morning coffee maker, but for an occasional cup-o'-joe it's great!

Comment:
Over all it is a functional design, simple to use and space saving. But like most coffee machines the thermistors (controlling heat and empting all a water) change with time failing to produce good tasting coffee. Don't know why the engineers do not over come this failure...except for planned obsolescence or price control. Otherwise it is a greater unit!
