If you want a durable coffee maker, this is not it. I have bought 3 from Costco and each has lasted 1 year each. I am not sure if it is Mr. Coffee or Costco because everything electronic that I have purchased from costco is not worth buying. And if you already have one, it helps the machine last a little longer if you use a funnel to fill it - it is the electrical componits that gives out always.

Best drip coffeemaker for the money. Temp control a nice added feature. Audible signal when finished brewing and also when timer goes off after two hours. If it's not hot enough after brewing, just adjust the temperature control. I've had the insulated carafe models, the grind & brew models, and this is the best of them all. Just makes good coffee without any mess. The strong brew selector is also a good feature.

We thought we had a decent coffee maker at a great price until one day it just stopped working. Its symptoms sound similar to others' comments-the power is on but coffee just doesn't brew. We had for just about a year. Our previous Cuisinart lasted about 9 years. Maybe we'll get another one of those instead.
