Comment:
We thought we had a decent coffee maker at a great price until one day it just stopped working. Its symptoms sound similar to others' comments-the power is on but coffee just doesn't brew. We had for just about a year. Our previous Cuisinart lasted about 9 years. Maybe we'll get another one of those instead.

Comment:
I used this coffeemaker daily; it brews in a reasonable amount of time on the Strong setting. I sometimes use the programmable features and they always work. When first brewed, the coffee is not very hot; I either zap it in the microwave or wait about 15-20 minutes as the warmer plate both heats it and keeps it warm. On a few occasions there has been leakage from the coffeemaker. I've owned this for 53 weeks--it suddenly quit when one week out of warranty. Lights work, but no action. Needs better quality.

Comment:
On my second machine this year. They do not seem to be very durable. Good coffee, don't know if I will buy a third machine this year or change machines.

I just can't recommend it only because they do not seem to last.
