The ultra-sensible layout of this cooktop is what really makes it a winner for me. 2 medium burners in front, one with dual elements & the largest (also dual) in the rear center. The 36 version gives one ample room to slide pans aside when not in use, something especially frustrating on newer gas stoves.

The touch controls are fabulous, unobtrusive & easy to use, once one adapts to them (not difficult in a digital age). They provide very precise control over simmering temperatures, far easier than peeking at the level of a gas flame under a pan. (I've had many models of gas stoves including high-end restaurant models with cast-iron burners, griddles & salamanders).

Also easy to clean & beautiful to look at.
