Comment:
Induction is the quickest, most efficient way I've found to cook. Great for an un-airconditioned Maine house - no heating up house to cook. Don't assume all metal pans will work; take a magnet shopping. If it clings, it will work. Takes getting used to such immediate heating and learning to use this kind of heating. Got this unit at about half price as a store demo model.

Comment:
This cooktop is more expensive than most other models, however, induction cooking is fabulous. Nothing ever cooks onto the surface as can happen with other smooth cooktops. Clean up is a breeze. Heating, in every applilcation, is quick, precise, even. Because all the energy goes to the pan, surfaces stay cool to warm and heat doesn't excape into the room. I love this cooktop!
