Comment:
We have owned this Kenmore Elite Conduction Cooktop since Fall of 2007. Last week it made a loud pop noise and stopped working. We paid Sears for the service call ($129.00) to find out that it would cost $1200 to repair and they have no explanation for why it stopped working. We would love to buy another, but $1200-$1600 every 4 years is too much money. We will go with gas. We are very sad to lose the technology. It was great while it worked.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
A complete lemon. Failed once while under warranty. Failed again within 18 months of installation. Cost of repair greater than purchasing an entire new unit.
