Features & Specs - LG LSCG306ST
High-power burners The number of surface cooking burners rated at over 11,000 Btu/hr., maximum. High-power burners are good for quickly heating large quantities, searing, and other high-temperature cooking. Some also perform well on low-heat tasks (when turned to their low setting).
Medium-power burners The number of surface cooking burners with maximum output ratings over 6,500 Btu/hr but not more than 11,000 Btu/hr. Though they don't offer top speed and power, medium-power burners can generally handle all cooking tasks.
Low-power burners The number of surface cooking burners with maximum output ratings of 6,500 Btu/hr or less (sometimes called simmer burners). These are intended for delicate tasks such as sauces.
Stainless steel Indicates a stainless-steel surface. Cooktops and wall ovens that offer it are noted so you can match both appliances.
Glass ceramic Indicates a glass ceramic top, also called gas-on-glass.
Porcelain enamel Indicates a porcelain enamel surface.
Continuous grates Grates abut one another, making it easier to slide pots around or to support large pans over two burners.
Everyone in our family enjoys cooking on this cooktop. It heats up fast, the controls are accurate. I like the style and the placement of the control knobs, leaves more space for the 5 burner configuration.

All my other appliances are GE Profile, this looked far more professional than the GE.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months

Excellent Cooktop - Cheap knobs
Easy to Clean
Heats Up Quickly
High Powered Burners
Large Surface Area
I love this cooktop! I thought 5 burners would be cramped in a 30 inch cooktop, but it works, even though sometimes they are close together. I usually have 3-4 burners going at the same time, but when I've had 5, it works fine.

Our favorite burner is the center 19k burner. It boils water fast, and simmers excellently. My children and I have observed that it is almost as fast to heat a can of soup (in a pot) as it is to use the microwave.

My only complaint (and it is a big one) is that all 5 knobs broke after 3 months. LG replaced them, but if I would have had to purchase, they would have cost $22/each! I know that I will need to replace them again, and am incredibly annoyed. I will call the warrantee department again before my years warrantee is up because they are already wearing again.

Although I love my stove, I would not buy it again unless they replaced the cheap plastic knobs!

If it were for the stove's cooking ability I would rate this a five, but the cheap knobs make it a 3.
