Comment:
bought this oven 6 years ago with the pizza accessorie. Very pricy, but worth every penny. I had an extended warrenty from the appliance store. After two years, the bottom of the oven completely burned out. The appliance store said I was covered if it wasn't a manufacturers defect. The Wolf repair man said it was a defect that Wolf knows about. That model had a heating element that breaks loose and destroys the bottom of the oven. When I called Wolf, they said that was true, but they couldn't repair the problem and wanted $2,500 to replace the oven with one that worked. It took me 6 months and the threat of a law suite to get Wolf to do the right thing and replace my oven. They never told customers that they had purchased a product with a known defect. Buyer beware.

Comment:
We purchased the Wolf L series 30 inch double ovens as part of our kitchen renovation. As avid cooks, we decided to invest in the best appliances we could (barely) afford. These puppies are pricy. We were impressed first by the weight of the unit (400 lbs!) and then, once installed, by the fit and finish.

We began to use the ovens by preparing the toughest challenges we had with our previous Jenn-air wall oven. For example, there is a liquid-batter cake that, in the past, would set prematurely at the edge and then often collapse in the centre because we had to take it out before the edges burnt. The Wolf produced a PERFECT cake. I don't know how, but it did.

We like the proof setting for proofing yeast doughs as well as the control panel that rotates completely out of sight when not in use. The centre rack rolls on bearings!

Bright halogen cavity lighting, pleasant timer chimes, floor-level exhaust, very little heat transfer to the surrounding cabinets.
