Features & Specs - Frigidaire Gallery FGHD2465N[F]
Sensor A sensor adjusts water usage and cycle time to the amount of soil on the dishes. This should make a dishwasher use water more efficiently, but we found that wasn't always the case. Moreover, a sensor can increase a machine's running time.

Self-cleaning filter A filter that cleans itself is convenient, but it can add to noise. Note that it's often the costly foreign brands that lack self-cleaning filters and require periodic manual cleaning of the filter.

Stainless-steel tub Unlike a plastic tub, a stainless-steel one won't discolor, but it does increase the cost of a dishwasher by about $100.

Hidden controls Controls along the top edge of the door contribute to a sleeker look. Some models hide all controls; others hide only some controls.

Ample flatware slots Flatware baskets with lids provide individual slots for most of the utensils in our silverware load. Such lids prevent "nesting" and thus improve flatware cleaning. It is more time-consuming to load the cutlery into individual slots, though, so you can remove the lids if you prefer.

Adjustable upper rack Most models hold cups and glasses on the top rack, plates on the lower rack, and silverware in a basket. The ability to adjust the upper rack up or down an inch or so allows for more flexibility in loading items such as tall glasses.

Stainless/SS-look option Stainless steel is stylish, but it shows fingerprints. Another option: a vinyl-covered metal finish that gives you a stainless-steel look but resists smudging.
Good Points: The controls/settings on top of the door are great, it can't be turned off or reset accidentally. My teenagers load the dishwasher and dishes are not always loaded properly, but come out very clean (We always use power clean). Most everything is very dry with the Sahara dry setting. It's nice to know how many minutes are left in the cycle on the front of the dishwasher. The last program ran feature is nice too. You just press start and your last setting programmed runs again. Also, lots and lots of options for cleaning.
Bad Points: The racks are very, very flimsy. The plastic rollers they are set on do not seem like they will last long. The top rack can be moved a couple of inches side to side and sags badly when the top rack is loaded. With this sagging the rotating arm on the bottom of the top rack hits the dishes on the bottom rack and makes a lot of noise while cleaning. Also the whooshing of water and the motor running is very loud. Loud enough to be noticeable and annoying. Also when the dishwasher drains, the water running through the pipes is very noisy. The top rack has weird tines that are supposed to hold cereal bowls, but do a really bad job of it. The bowls always fall over. Seems like a decent sized tub, but with the extra rotating arms on the bottom and top you lose dish space. There is usually food left on the bottom of the dishwasher after it's done cleaning too. The plastic in the tub around the drain area is starting to get discolored from food stains. There is some rusting around the drying element also.
My Thoughts: This does not seem like a high quality dishwasher that will give me years and years of great cleaning results and I will probably loose my sanity from all the noise it makes.

Comment:
Had it for 2 months, this is all new Frigidaire Gallery stainless appliances in my kitchen. Extremely happy with ALL of them. The dishwasher works great, easy to load, very flexible cycles w/touch controls on top (you can see them when door is shut). I've intentionally put very dirty dishes, baked on pasta sauce, egg, etc. & everything comes out CLEAN. The sound level is very low but it's a strong whir that lets you know it's actually working. It seems to be very well made & I intend to take care of it. I'm amazed by the positive/negative reviews on every brand & model.

Comment:
Have only had this machine for a week but its been great so far. I have ran three loads of dishes including the dishes from Thanksgiving Dinner were I has 11 guests. The dishwasher holds an amazing amount of dishes, is incredibly quiet and looks great. So far all the dishes have come out clean and dry. I realize that it is still early in the game but compared to the Panasonic dishwasher that I just replaced its night and day.
