Comment:
Kitchenaid will not support you if you have a manf. issue. the latches do not work well on the kitchenaid units and they know it. Do not buy one, you will be sorry. Quality is not there anymore... Bosch or Kenmore is a better choice. Beware of latches...It is hard to shut and very aggravating.

Comment:
We replaced a 10+ year-old Kitchen Aid dishwasher that was working well with this one. Within the first few months the silverware tray needed to be replaced twice (warranty). Then, in it's second year, an internal fuse had to be replaced. Then, about one month after replacing the fuse, the wheels on the upper 'tray/grate' snapped off and the whole upper tray of glassware collapsed and fell into the bottom tray. When I called Kitchen Aid for help, all they would do (after escalating the issue) was send a new set of wheels which I have to put onto the upper tray. If you search web about this model (and Whirlpool models also as they are made by same company) you will find that this appears to be a common issue regarding the wheels breaking. Good overall design with very poor execution (quality issues).
