Comment:
Well I am not sure consumer reports tested the right dishwasher. I bought it on their ratings. As I see in all the other reviews the issues are the same.. It does not clean dishes and breaks down all the time. It is absolutely worthless and after a year of hating it I am hoping to get rid of it. It does smell like a sewer after use due to food particles stuck in the front door hinge area. It has never produced a clean load EVER!!! Do not buy this unit.

Bought it Feb 1, 2014 used it once and the heavy button started blinking indicating a leak. Samsung had an appliance repair come. They did 3 repairs and still would no work. So the repair center took the dishwasher to the warehouse and tried to repair it with no luck. The stainless steel tub had a manufacturer defect. I have owned it two months and used it once. I still have not gotten a replacement for anything and it 4/3/2014

Comment:
I bought this unit to replace a 20 year old Kenmore dishwasher that was working perfectly fine. No problems washing the dishes what so ever. It was just old and rusting and falling apart.

Spent the first 2 weeks with this new one trying to figure out how to get the dishes clean.

We are now washing the dishes first and still running the heavy duty cycle. And STILL the dishes come out with food particles on the them. Sometimes the Heavy Duty detergent door will be open, the packet will have evidence of being wet, but it will still be mostly in tack and unused.

And the WORSE part?

I've been working with Samsung for 3 months trying to get a service tech to come out. The closest one is 1.5 hours away. And they subcontract a 3rd party repair company who has yet to get someone out to my house. Their warranty is a joke.

This is advertised as a dish washer. The assumption is .... you put in dirty dishes, turn it on and unload clean ones.
It should be advertised as a surprise box. Because every time you use it you never know what you are going to find when you open it.
