The Samsung DW7933LRA[SR] is part of the dishwasher
test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, dishwasher
models like the DW7933LRA[SR] are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.
Assessed by running the normal or equivalent cycle to clean a full load--10 place settings of very dirty dishes that were scraped but not rinsed. We examine the dishes and glassware for residual food after cleaning.
For a normal cycle. The largest portion is needed for heating water, both at the water heater and in the machine.
Judged during fill, wash, and drain, mainly by a listening panel.

Ample flatware slots Flatware baskets with lids provide individual slots for most of the utensils in our silverware load. Such lids prevent "nesting" and thus improve flatware cleaning. It is more time-consuming to load the cutlery into individual slots, though, so you can remove the lids if you prefer.

Adjustable upper rack Most models hold cups and glasses on the top rack, plates on the lower rack, and silverware in a basket. The ability to adjust the upper rack up or down an inch or so allows for more flexibility in loading items such as tall glasses.

Sensor A sensor adjusts water usage and cycle time to the amount of soil on the dishes. This should make a dishwasher use water more efficiently, but we found that wasn't always the case. Moreover, a sensor can increase a machine's running time.
Self-cleaning filter A filter that cleans itself is convenient, but it can add to noise. Note that it's often the costly foreign brands that lack self-cleaning filters and require periodic manual cleaning of the filter.
Hidden controls Controls along the top edge of the door contribute to a sleeker look. Some models hide all controls; others hide only some controls.
Interior material A dishwasher's interior, which includes the inside of the door, could be made of stainless steel, plastic, or a combination of the two--such as a plastic door and stainless sides and bottom. Unlike a plastic interior, an all-stainless interior won't discolor, but it does increase the cost of a dishwasher by about $100.
Stainless/SS-look option Stainless steel is stylish, but it shows fingerprints. Another option: a vinyl-covered metal finish that gives you a stainless-steel look but resists smudging.
Not good for large family, cycle is 1.3 hours.

I run mine before I go to bed, dishes are clean and dry in morning.

Use for small family.

The dish racks emit a strong petro-chemical odor. This smell is amplified by the heated water of the wash cycles, and during the DRY cycle, this horrible petro chemical odor is further amplified by the SANITIZE option and is vented into the kitchen. Cannot remain in the kitchen during this DRY cycle.

None of the operating in the user manual are correct (the QUICK+ cycle published @ 59 minutes, takes up to 110 minutes +/-.......all cycles need to have 50 +/- minutes added to them)

Customer Service is of no use. One service technician stated that the Sanitize option was only used to clean the dishwasher with no dishes in the unit. He also stated that the extra detergent required in the HEAVY cycle was supposed to be put into the rinse aid dispenser. And I was going to allow him to take the machine apart?

The one, and only one, tier 2 tech that I wasa allowed to talk to, and that was even only by mistake, agreed that the user manual is extremely poorly written, and provides minimal help to the user!

And every time you call into customer service, it is a new experience. No one talks to anybody else within Samsung, and you can never talk to the same person again, even thopugh the give you a name, location, and even an extension!

This is not a good product! It literally stinks, and there is no customer support!

Customer service was unhelpful when my 15 month old machine stopped working.
I bought it based on Consumer Reports reviews. Big mistake, I'm afraid. It looks like a lost cause.
It has been really smelly, dishes had to be run through several times, and now it just starts, stops after a few minutes. Trouble shooting based on the error code does not help. Took it apart to repair, still does not work. Customer service is uninterested in assisting an out of warranty machine. It is 15 months old.
Based on online discussions, I'm afraid to invest more time and money on it. Has anyone had any luck repairing this model?
