I have owned this dishwasher for 2 1/2 years, and now there are suds dripping on the floor directly from the motor. The dishes and cookware had fish, therefore the kitchen smells like spoiled fish with dishwasher suds. Wish me luck.

Comment:
I have owned this dishwasher for less than two years and now a serious water leak has developed underneath the second motor (the one that directs water flow). Repairman found that the plastic spindle was rubbing hard against something as it was showing abnormal wear. Unfortunately replacing the spindle to eliminate the water leak would only be a short term solution as it would eventually wear down again. He mentioned to me that this particular item was poorly engineered and that there's nothing he can do to fix it. Being out of warranty I am now in the market for a better machine.

Save your money. Consider buying a dishwasher that has a water leak sensor w/drip pan too that will cutoff the water and drain the dishwasher as soon as a leak is detected. Wish we had.

Odor From Vent

Comment:
Seemed fine for the first 9 months then we noticed an odor from the vent that smelled like gear oil. Repairman could not diagnose. Now at 17 months the unit is leaking water from the underside of the motor. Now out of warranty unsure if worth repairing. Received as a home warranty replacement for our old Maytag. Lesson learned - buy up!
