Comment:
This dishwasher is ok in all respects but drying. It does not have a SmartDry Vent. Without this vent upon opening the door there is still moisture throughout the appliance. This is a terrible design flaw. Why have a Heated Dry function that is dysfunctional. Very disappointed with this dishwasher!

Comment:
I have the Kenmore Elite 12782 in my home, and I bought it because of the smoothness of the rails and the ease that I can load it, as well as the turbo option at the back for washing baked on pans, which works great. The turbo option makes for a very long cycle, I suspect it works not by pressure, but just by long exposure to spraying soapy water. My problems so far have been not being able to get it balanced, which could be due to poor installation by Sears, which leads to the door hanging down below level, making the plates roll forward, and the top drawer just comes out on it's own, when I dont want it to, and the feet in the front have been extended as far as they will go. The soap dispenser tab has already broken. Also, even with the high quality soap tabs and drying agent, I have residue on my dishes, possibly due to our water, so I have to use an additional citric agent in the soap dispenser. I wish, that like the old dishwashers, with the dial function selector, I could select for extra drying time. That should be an option for a user, and it annoys me that it is not. I still have to open the door to let it dry completely, and when it is open, it's in the way. I feel as if I paid more money than I should have for this washer, for the quality, it should have been about $400 less.
