I have had this dishwasher for 5 years. I paid several hundred dollars for it so I'm going to keep using it for a while longer. The problem I have had is the prongs on the basket adjuster keeps breaking off. One time the prong fell into the motor area and a repairman had to come out to remove it. Since the prongs keeps breaking off the top rack keeps dropping. I am now having to order another set of adjusters and this doesn't make me happy. Samsung really messed up with this design!!

We selected this dishwasher when we remodeled our kitchen 2 years ago. I was sure I would purchase another Bosch, but the salesman at the appliance store convinced me that this Samsung was equally as quiet and as effective. He was right in that it is certainly quiet but does nowhere near the job that the Bosch does. In fact, this dishwasher replaced a 15 year old Roper which was very loud but did a much better job cleaning the dishes than this Samsung. Every time I unload the dishwasher, I find myself handwashing several items. It really is amazing because the wash cycle seems to take forever and yet I still have food particles stuck to dishes and glasses. I'll probably end up replacing it in the next year or two. Life's too short to live with a worthless dishwasher.

Have had this dishwasher for almost 3 years. Although it's amazingly quiet, it does not clean very well.
Top rack dishes, in particular, often need to be handwashed.
It's 'self-cleaning' filter frequently leaves large particles in the bottom of the dishwasher.
The brackets that hold the top rack have had to be replaced twice because the tabs break off.
The front section of the lower rack is awkward to load.

We definitely regret purchasing this dishwasher.
