Price is average nationwide retail price. Overall score is based on the quality of the espresso, ease of use and other factors. Taste is the evaluation of the espresso by sensory experts. Convenience reflects setup to brew, noise, vibration, and stability, setup for next brew, and cleaning. Frothing is the quality of foamed milk produced in terms of firmness, fineness of pores, and stability. Weight is how much the unit weights, to the nearest pound. Reservoir represents how much water the machine can hold. No. of cups at same time reflects how many 1 1/2-ounce espresso shots the machine can make at once. Maker accepts indicates whether or not a machine uses ground coffee, coffee pods, or capsules, or has a built-in grinder to accept whole beans. No. of grinder settings represents the different settings the built-in grinder has.
