Brands
The major brands of food processors are Cuisinart, KitchenAid, Black & Decker, and Hamilton Beach. Key brands that have a smaller share of the market include Oster and GE. Use these profiles to compare food processors by brand.
Cuisinart
This brand is the leader in terms of market share. Considered one of the premium brands, Cuisinart offers some high-end food processors. That said, the company offers a variety of models with varying capacity and features covering a broad price range. Prices generally range from $70 to $350 but Cuisinart does have a model that sells for $800. Widely available, the food processors are sold at most online and retail stores that sell home electrics.
Black & Decker
The second leading brand in terms of market share, Black & Decker offers a handful of models in the lower end of the price range, starting as low as $20. Black & Decker food processors are sold at department stores, mass merchandisers (Walmart, Target) and online retailers.
KitchenAid
Like Cuisinart, KitchenAid offers premium processors but also has a series of models of various sizes, capabilities and finishes. Generally priced between $50 and $350, the food processors are sold at department stores, appliance stores, specialty stores, and online retailers.
Hamilton Beach
Hamilton Beach offers full-sized and mini processors in an assortment of colors. Prices range from the low to mid-range, typically $30 to $90. Hamilton Beach units can be found in department stores, mass merchandisers such as Walmart and Target, price clubs, appliance stores, and online retailers.
Oster
A smaller player, Oster currently has three products in its food-processor line in mid-price range ($70 to $100). Oster processors can be found at department stores, Sam's club, Home Depot, Independent appliance stores and online retailers.
GE
GE offers one very basic model of food processor that is sold only at Walmart for $40 or less.
