Comment:
I've owned this product for 3 years and have needed to replace the slicing/shredding disc 3 times. It disintegrates suddenly, this most recent time while shredding soft cheese. Made of cheap plastic. Company would not replace when out of warranty, despite many similar complaints from other customers. Company referred me to web site for replacement and disc is now discontinued.

Pros
Dishwasher safe
Cons
Flimsy plastic parts
HARD TO CLEAN
Best Uses
Grating
Shredding
Comment:
We use it occasionally for shredding and grating fruits, vegetables, and cheese. It's noisy when chopping hard thngs like nuts. All the parts are hard to clean - being dishwasher safe does help. The shredder/slicer blade has broken twice - the plastic hub that holds the blade on the shaft disintegrated. The first time B&D replaced it at no charge. For [$] it does the job for us - it wouldn't hold up for heavier use.

Pros
Chops

Cons
Breaks easily
Plastic is weak
Best Uses
None
Comment:
We only use it a few times a year and are very careful with it. Since it's just my husband and myself, I know that it is treated well and has not been dropped. The rim of the lid broke causing liquids to spew everywhere. (We had to use saran wrap and duct tape.) The plastic rim on the bottom of the bowl broke entirely off--which keeps it from locking into place which keeps it from turning on.

Strength
It works. With research on the internet I am figuring how to use it.
Weakness
It's tricky to set up and clean. I cut myself on the flimsy blade. The instructions are not clear. Paid 44.00 at a local store and I feel that I got ripped off.
It's okay. Clunky and 6 or 7 different parts to lose. I overpaid, but if you can get it for 20 or 30 dollars go for it.

You get what you pay for, and that's not a bad thing!

Strength
Low, low price; parts are dishwasher safe; chops vegetables well
Weakness
clear plastic parts break easily; unit rocks and rolls on counter
I purchased this unit a year ago, after my beloved Cuisinart died. My financial situation being less flush, I couldn't afford to replace it, so I bought this as a stop gap until I can afford a better one. I got it on Amazon from a marketplace seller and paid less than $30. So it's about 1/10 the price of a professional brand like Cuisinart. Is it 1/10 as good? Not at all. It's a great value! I most often use it to chop up veggies and nuts, puree fruits, and pulse together pastry dough. I never use it for making bread dough, as I have a DeLonghi for that. My main complaint is that the plastic pieces are fragile...they break fairly easily. I have two other complaints as well. 1. There is a door for the chute, which I never use. There is a little flat piece of plastic that is supposed to be a gate to keep things in the bowl when you're not using the slicer, grater attachment and the chute. Unfortunately, things can get past this gate and make a mess. I ended up duct-taping the gate closed permanently. Very chic! 2. If you are processing something heavy and not balanced at first, the unit bounces around a bit. Never leave it unattended! I give it 4 stars. Not because its as good as a much more expensive food processor, but because its a great value for the money.

Black&Decker Food Processor

Strength
Compact,brand name
Weakness
not very powerful and blades quality
I have bought this from Walmart for $25 and I know you got what you pay. I trust Black&Decker brand and so far it is working pretty good. Plastic parts and blades should be better quality and more power but it is fine for daily kitchen process. I am happy with it so far.
