Same as other comment. There are 2 compartments where water gets in. I did use it once, it did work well. I put it into the dishwasher and something like a seed got caught inside. Can not get it out. This is after only 1 use. Imagine how it will be after several washes?!?! Are these tried out before they are sold!?!?!
How long have you owned it:
A month or less
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cleaning the unit
I'm going to have to return this unit simply because two parts of it can't be cleaned. After first use, I put the washable parts in the dishwasher. When I took them out later, I saw that there was a liquidy mess stuck inside two places of the unit of which there is no access to.

It's that clear piece with the black plastic piece running inside of it that has a spring on the bottom, that is behind the feed tube and large bowl. Not only can I not get into it to clean it, I don't even see what the purpose of it is. The manual doesn't mention it or even show it in the pictures.
