Capable but not extraordinary
Easy to operate
Grates Nicely
Sharp blades
Lexan Bowls Crack
Lid And Grater Flex
Liquid Flies Out The Lid
Best Uses
This model and its bowls don't seem as durable as my old food processor from years ago. It grates cheese nicely but feels like the lid or grating blade is going to break because of the way they flex when operating--at least when grating cheese. Cuisinart seems to have cheapened its manufacturing standards, but the highest rated food processor is twice as expensive and, judging from reviews and videos on Youtube, probably doesn't perform twice as well. Overall, I like this food processor but not as well as the first Cuisinart I ever bought. So with caveats, I would definitely recommend this to a friend and in fact did.

Very temperamental machine
Best Uses
Pie Dough
I loved my old Cuisinart food processor, it lasted for many years in spite of hard usage. I didn't think twice about buying the same thing again but the new version just isn't very good. When it chooses to work, it processes pie dough beautifully but the slicer doesn't work well with carrots sliding around the blade. I actually returned my first one because it wouldn't turn on. The next one worked better for awhile but now I can't seem to get the work bowl and lid to align properly with the button on the base that turns the motor on. I give up and am changing brands.

Three-to-six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't find replacement parts
Parts not available
Plastic parts not durable
Best Uses
Fine Shredding
Kneading Bread
I love this machine, but the lid cracked after about 2 years of use. Can't find a new lid anywhere, and Cuisinart says that it will be at least another 30 days to replace it. The large pusher sleeve cracked after only about a year, but at least it doesn't render the machine unusuable. If the lid cracks, you can't start the machine at all.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
