Used this freezer in the garage sitting next to our garage fridge (which is now 25+ years old and still works fine!). This Kenmore Freezer started having problems at about a year and a half. Wouldn't stay cold - temp crept up to 32 degrees. Now looking to replace - too expensive to repair.

We purchsed this from [@] less than 2 years ago. We have the 2845 model which is Black in color instead of white. Looked and functioned well for the first year and a half. Then it died!!! The response we recieved from both [@] and Kenmore is that appliances are only supposed to last 5-10 years. When I asked how what about when they last only a year and a half? They replied that it isn't their problem. It took posting on FaceBook to get any kind of appropriate response. I will post any resolutions later.
