Upon arrival one of the handles was only connected on one side of the hinge. With fidling I've made it work. The vent hole sprays bits of vegies all over the counter, floor and passing dog. To move it around you have to hold the debris bin to the machine as it only stays in place on a counter. The motor is powerful enough to do tough vegies like beets so it does work. Just not well. I'm thinking a juicer, like a toaster, is easy enough to build but not build well. I will be looking at commercial or at least more substantial models of these appliances in the future.

Comment:
I have owned this juicer for about three weeks and have used it 3-4 times per week. Basically I think it performs well. I make a large enough quantity of juice at one time for 2 days. It does best with leafy greens, celery, carrots, cucumbers, peppers, etc. but has difficulty with apples, possibly due to the tougher skin? I have not tried a whole small apple but doubt that it would handle it well as 1/4 size sections often result in some larger pieces of apple/skin being shot into the pulp container. For citrus, a small amount of citrus juice collects in the plastic piece holding the blade basket, but this really is not a big deal.
My major dislike it that the pulp container does not have a good fit so pulp leaks out the top front side of it. I have to push the container against the unit as it juices to eliminate the problem. The pulp also collects on the plastic part that covers the pulp container (at the same location of the leak) and has to be cleaned out several times when making double batches of juice.
I do not use a bag in the pulp container as my husband likes the pulp for compost. He takes the pulp container and all the parts that need to be cleaned (with the exception of the blade basket) and dumps/washes them outside with the hose. Then the dishwasher does the rest.
For my first juicer, it works well for the price.

Comment:
I have owned this unit for almost 2 years but didn't really start using it till a couple of months ago because I thought the clean-up was too much work. But once I got into a rhythm, it became much easier (especially putting a sack into the pulp container). But...today the plastic post that is attached to the strainer basket broke and will not attach. Without that, the whole machine is lost. Not sure how it broke but since it is plastic, it would be weaker than steel or other metals. Will not buy another of this brand.
