About - Frigidaire Professional FPEF3081MF

The Frigidaire Professional FPEF3081MF is part of the kitchen range test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, electric smoothop range models like the Professional FPEF3081MF are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Cooktop high:
This reflects how quickly the most powerful element could raise a 6-liter (6 1/3 quart) pot of water from room temperature to a near boil.

Cooktop low:
This reflects how well the lowest-powered element or burner kept a low temperature as for melting chocolate. We also set the most powerful element to its lowest setting to test its ability to hold a large pot of tomato sauce below a boil.

This reflects the evenness of cookies and cakes in multi-rack baking tests.

Touchpad Inconvenient
Best Uses
These are my first impressions. I really miss knobs for the burners, the touchpad will take some getting use to.
When preheating or using convection its very noisy
The ceramic top is very very prone to scratches and shows every smudge

A month or less
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

design in oven light very poor
Attractive Design
Oven Light Keeps Blowing
Best Uses
I have only owned the stove for 3 months and the oven light has blown 2 times . I just had light replaced 2 weeks ago and it is out again. This is just not a simple bulb the back of stove has to be taken off and replace the hole bulb unit. And the cost of the part was around $90.00 not including the service call. As to my luck it was replaced at no cost.
How long have you owned it:
One-to-three months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
