Cooktop high:
This reflects how quickly the most powerful element could raise a 6-liter (6 1/3 quart) pot of water from room temperature to a near boil.

Cooktop low:
This reflects the ability of the lowest power element to melt and hold chocolate without scorching it. We also set the most powerful element to its lowest setting to test its ability to hold a large pot of tomato sauce below a boil.

Comment:
EXTREMELY difficult to keep clean. I've owned many ranges in my 58 years and this one is the first one to have the oven go out on me, after only a year and very little use. Going to cost $500 to fix it. Not a reliable product.

Comment:
The cooktop scratches extremely easy. Owned a GE for 17 years and had no scratches.
The window always looks dirty as dust and moisture gets trapped and there is no way to clean it unless it is taken completely apart.
I would never purchase a Samsung appliance again.

Comment:
I purchased this stove along with the matching fidge, micro-oven, and dishwasher when we bought our new house 5-2012, in January 2013 the oven no longer would heat to higher than 150 degrees, we called Samsung in which they sent a technician out the next week. Mind you I have a family which means it was a rough week not being able to cook dinner. the technician ordered all new parts and cam back in 2 days to put them, although it was not the same man it was his son, he replaced all the new parts and the stove still not heat properly. He then began trouble shooting and found that the wires to the element had burned up. REALLY! So he fixed that. Here is is 9-2013 and guess what my stove no longer heats to desired temp 350. Called Samsung for them to tell me it is out of warranty. Like I already did not know that the year was up. but to have the same issue in less than an 18 month period it unexceptable. Do not buy this item.
