I usually don't use the back burners on my stove but I recently cooked a few things on my stove that required using a back burner. Later on that evening the stove turned itself on and set itself to 350. I didn't think too much of it, dismissing it as me accidentally leaving it on. However, the next morning when I woke up I smelled oven smell. I walked into the kitchen and there was the oven, running at 350 as toasty as could be! This is really scary and an obvious design flaw! I can't believe there isn't a class action lawsuit regarding this.

So upset writing this as I see Jennaire had a huge problem with the control panel on this model and never had to recall or fix it. Stove 5 years old, control panel shot due to poor placement as mentioned by others.Oven started turning itself on, by itself, scary. $829 to replace control panel. This, after spending $229 last year to replace lower heating element. Stay far, far away from anything made by this company or anyone continuing to make this model.

I purchased this stove because of the reputation of Jenn-Air. I liked the performance of the stove, but in less than two and a half years the electronic panel malfunctioned. The customer service of this company was as poor as I have ever experienced. It was four months (including Thanksgiving and Christmas) before the part was available. Just a week before it was available, I negotiated with them to remove the stove from my home and give me a buy out check. They were reluctant to do this, and really pushed to get me to purchase another Jenn-Air. It was an absolute nightmare with many phone calls to customer service. I have finally purchased another stove and will never purchase another product from this company.
