Comment:
This stove has been a bad experience from the day they installed it. 1st oven had an intermittant gas leak....was replaced. 2nd unit had a less frequent gas odor, but finally went away. Cheap plastic burner knob broke and so did its replacement. Recently, a burner valve stuck in the ON position and had to turn off all gas. I am calling [@]to have them take it away.

Comment:
When the top oven is turned on, it smells of gas. I called repair and they said it is the design of the oven (an L shape) and the oven will not set fire or we won't be gassed. It's a design flaw and a common complaint but as of right now, nothing can be done. I have 2nd repair person coming tomorrow. If I would've heard this is a problem in the design, I would've gone with another maker as Maytag does not emit the gas smell.
How long have you owned it:
Three-to-six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
