We went to update a good working microwave we had for 21 years and it still worked. We wanted to update (which I wish we kept the 21 year old) to a newer one. What a mistake. 1st emerson was dented and went to Target to replace, they had to order a different model as this one was discontinued. Got that one and it lasted one or 2 weeks. Emerson gave us a run-a-round for 3 weeks before I took it to the better business bureau. Finally we got a new one 5 weeks later. They gave us another model #. We got this one and it lasted 6 months.<br />I am done with very low quality emersons!

This microwave worked great for me. Bought it in Sept of '09 and it just barely started making weird noises &tripping the GFCI. I have it unplugged at the moment since it's making noises as if it were on when the door is closed & not in use. We got great use out of this microwave; using it 5-10 times per day for just about anything for over 3.5 yrs. I used the grilling part only once & was not impressed, I never used it again. The microwave part was great...now to go replace it :)
