Interior finish durability
Best Uses
The interior finish on my Frigidaire microwave is poor. It has scorched and stained and shows rust spots, and I can't remove those discolorations. I have had this oven about five years, but these problems showed up much more quickly (after 3 years or so, I think) than they did in my previous inexpensive microwave. I am the only user of my microwave, and I don't use it a lot. (I heat water most mornings, and reheat leftovers for dinner about every other day.)
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We use a microwave oven to reheat leftovers and to cook oatmeal andvegetables

This microwave worked great, BUT the clear covering over the control pad failed. It developed ugly bubbles and holes over the most frequently used numbers. We have owned other microwaves for years without having any of them develop this problem.

Keypad Locked Second Day In-Service
Attractive Design
Simple Controls
Simple Display
Best Uses
Unit will be exchanged for another identical oven.

Hopefully the keypad lock-up is a one in a million (well maybe 300 PPM) failure and the next one will be fine.

Seems that all the microwave ovens have been reduced to lowest manufacturing cost without considering reliability of simple items like turntable mechanisms, hinges, keypads, etc.
How long have you owned it:
A month or less
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
