Watts This is the manufacturer's figure of the microwave power output. In general, the more watts an oven offers, the greater its cooking power-and the faster your food will be cooked. That said, differences in claimed wattage of 100 watts or less are unlikely to result in significant differences in performance.

Convection mode A few microwaves include a convection oven feature, which has a heating element and a fan that distributes heat. In convection mode, you can set the oven temperature as you would in a traditional oven to bake or roast items.

Stainless/SS-look option Stainless-steel is stylish, but it shows fingerprints. Another option: a vinyl-covered metal finish that gives you a stainless-steel look but resists smudging.
I use the microwave for reheating and occasional popcorn only. My Kenmore model #86053 stopped working for any time over 30 sec. If set for more time it does not shut off at the set time, it just keeps on going and going till I pull the plug. It is less than 2 years old. Seems to me that is a short time when only two adults use it...no kids. Going shopping for another than will NOT be a Kenmore despite CR best buys recommendations.

Comment:
Within the first 2 months it sounded like a explosion <br />and sparks flew. I checked to make sure there was no metal. If I put a cup with water in while cooking it seems to work ok. It now puts off a smell everytime I use it and not the turntable stopped working. Into the trash it has gone at 6 months

Comment:
The microwave has been flawless from day one. Not one problem and the settings are just right. I particularly like the vegetable setting and defrost. It is used 3-5 times a day and I can trust it.
