Comment:
Too many people have had the same problem. Microwave will not start due to door latch problems. If we slammed the door it would usually start to work. We have owned this for about 18 months and I can not live with it anymore

Comment:
Nothing is great about this microwave. I bought this instead of a very cheap one hoping it would last; it didn't. After a year the button to open the door didn't work and the door did not close completely. Does Consumer Report base their reviews on what the Company says about this machine??

Comment:
Purchased this on CR's recommendation and right from the start it was a problem. First, the silly knob to enter the time is confusing and gimmicky. Then when you do operate it, the microwave is more noisy than most.

The worst part was that two months after the 1 year warranty expired, it conked out. Of course it doesn't pay to repair, but it is infuriating that there is no other recourse but to buy another model. My family won't buy another Panasonic machine any time soon.
