Speed of heating:
This score is based on the temperature rise of water heated in the microwave.

Watts This is the manufacturer's figure of the microwave power output. In general, the more watts an oven offers, the greater its cooking power-and the faster your food will be cooked. That said, differences in claimed wattage of 100 watts or less are unlikely to result in significant differences in performance.

Convection mode A few microwaves include a convection oven feature, which has a heating element and a fan that distributes heat. In convection mode, you can set the oven temperature as you would in a traditional oven to bake or roast items.

Stainless/SS-look option Stainless-steel is stylish, but it shows fingerprints. Another option: a vinyl-covered metal finish that gives you a stainless-steel look but resists smudging.
Had for 2 years and it was great! Suddenly started very loud crackling noise and sparking while heating food in plastic container. Hole burned through the metal plate inside the microwave.

Comment:
Chose this microwave for the size (1000 Watts, large interior, large lazy susan) and for the hidden keypad because it looked sleek and neat. Discovered soon that the hidden keypad was kind of a pain. But do like most of the features (popcorn, variety of reheating options, auto-defrost, auto-cook, add a minute cooking). Beware, the auto-defrost requires babysitting, as you will have to flip the food and press start again. However, the appliance has been very reliable in over the 4 years we've had it, and if you can live with the hidden display, it's a great tool.

Comment:
It looks great and after I got used to the display being inside the door, I liked that feature. It tends to cook hotter than other microwaves I've had and it collects steam inside while cooking, which makes reading the display more difficult. But on the whole I like it.
