Comment:
Kenmore is known for washing machines not for microwave!! Very unreliable; noisy - sounds like a running washing machine; will not display the time you pressed, ex. I pressed 0090 seconds but it went to 1:15<br />minutes this happens all the time in various time set;- stressful, infuriating, disgusting - WORST MICROWAVE I HAVE EVER OWNED. DO NOT make a mistake to ever buy this. KENMORE - shame on you to try going to microwaves, stay with your washing machines, that's all your good for.

Comment:
Own model 72122 (white) and it worked well for 25 months, then quit. Probably just a malfunctioning door latch since light and touch-pad still worked, but no heating or turntable action. Expect oven lasted average length of time for price paid. Glad I opted for purchase protection coverage.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
This was a good microwave - great design; color; and easy to clean inside. However it simply stopped microwaving after owning it 13 months. The light and display and clock all still worked, but the microwave element stopped working. I had used it primarily for warming foods, defrosting, and popping popcorn. No heavy duty or real cooking. I called the contact number provided for service; however, since it was one month out of warranty no help was provided. Every other microwave I have had has lasted 5 years or more.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
