Comment:
We had this microwave installed as part of a kitchen make over because it matched our existing two year old stove. My wife loves the way it looks. She raved about how easy it was to use, also. I liked its preset buttons for heating beverages and leftovers.<br />Then, one month before the expiration of its 1 year warranty it started beeping contiuously and displaying a message that the keypad may be shorted out and service was required. We could still use the light and exhaust fan (it is mounted over the stove), but nothing else. The only way to silence the annoying alarm beep was to use the 'power saver' switch to cut all the power. You then lose the clock, too. The store from which we bought the unit repaired it free of charge, but I've come across several reviews of GE microwaves on the internet recently that mention the same problem. They must have a design flaw.

Comment:
THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THE CONTROL PANEL OTHER THAN THE CLOCK. TO SEE THE CONTROL PANEL ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE KIT NEED TO BE ON. BAD ENGINEERING. THE ON AND OFF FEATURE WILL SAVE ELECTRICITY. THE INTERIOR IS DARK IN COLOR MAKING SEEING IN THE OVEN HARD. ANOTHER POOR ENGINEERING. HAD A SERVICE MAN OUT AND HE STATED THAT THE NON LIGHTED CONTROL PANEL IS NORM.I WILL ADD THIS OVEN IS BLACK ON THE OUTSIDE.
